In addition to conventional video signal processing, it also features normal audio processing, as well as recording/playback FM-EQ functions on-chip. Together with the CCD chip, it is configured as a single package consisting of two chips. This device eliminates the various adjustments that are usually performed by trimming inside the chip: by incorporating automatic adjustments for the comb filter as well, it is completely adjustment-free. This has made it possible to reduce significantly the number of externally attached components, simplify the design around the signal processing, and cut production costs.
