These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V. 5V and an adjustable output versions. These regulators require a minimum number of external components and are simpler to use by an internal frequency compensation and a fixed – frequency oscillator. By operating a switching frequency of 150KHz, the AMC2596 series require smaller sized filter components. This feature makes the application design more cost effective than lower frequency switch regulators.
