ASSR-5211 High Current, 1 Form A, Solid State Relay (MOSFET) (600V/0.2A/16Ω) Data Sheet Lead (Pb) Free RoHS 6 fully compliant RoHS 6 fully compliant options available; -xxxE denotes a lead-free product Description The ASSR-5211 is specifi cally desig ned f or high curr ent applications, c ommonly f ound in the industrial equip ments. The r elay is a solid-stat e r eplacement f or single pole, normally-open, (1 Form A) electromechanical relays. The ASSR-5211 c onsists of an AlG aAs infrar ed lightemitting diode (LED ) input stage optically c oupled t o a high-v oltage output det ector cir cuit. The det ector consists of a high-speed phot ovoltaic diode arra y and driver circuitry to switch on/off two discrete high voltage MOSFETs. The r elay turns on (c ontact closes) with a minimum input curr ent of 3mA thr ough the input LED . The relay turns off (contact opens) with an input v oltage of 0.8V or less. The ASSR-5211 connection A, as sho wn in the schematic , allows the r elay to switch either ac or dc loads . The connection B , with its advantages of r educed on-r esistance and higher output curr ent, allows the r elays to switch dc loads only. The elec trical and swit ching charac teristics are specifi ed over the temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
