Description
The ASSR-1611 is specifi cally desig ned f or high curr ent applications, c ommonly f ound in the industrial equip ments. The r elay is a solid-stat e r eplacement f or single pole, normally-open, (1 Form A) electromechanical relays. The ASSR-1611 c onsists of an AlG aAs infra red light-emitting diode (LED ) input stage optically c oupled to a highvoltage output detector circuit. The detector consists of a high-speed photovoltaic diode arra y and driv er circuitry to switch on/off two discrete high v oltage MOSFETs. The relay turns on (contact closes) with a minimum input current of 5mA thr ough the input LED . The r elay turns off (contact opens) with an input voltage of 0.8V or less. The ASSR-1611 connection A, as sho wn in the schematic , allows the r elay to switch either ac or dc loads . The connection B , with its advantages of r educed on-r esistance and higher output curr ent, allows the r elays to switch dc loads only. The elec trical and swit ching charac teristics are specifi ed over the temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
