The SA9109B performs the active power calculation. The method of calculation takes the power factor into account. Two methods of energy measurement are available. One method results in energy values which take the direction of energy flow into account, a summation of signed integers. The alternative method measures energy regardless of the direction of energy flow, a summation of absolute values.
