The NCP158x is a low cost PWM controller designed to operate from a 5 V or 12 V supply. This device is capable of producing an output
voltage as low as 0.8 V. This 8−pin device provides an optimal level of integration to reduce size and cost of the power supply. Features include a 0.7 A gate driver and an internally set 350 kHz (NCP1582, NCP1582A) and a 300 kHz (NCP1583) oscillator. The NCP158x also incorporates an externally compensated transconductance error amplifier and a programmable soft−start function. Protection features include short circuit protection (SCP) and under
voltage lockout (UVLO). The NCP158x comes in an 8−pin SOIC package.
