PHOTONIC POWER 4 V Photovoltaic Power Converter PPC-9LW Key Features • Up to 30 mA at 3 V • Up to 100 mW electrical power • Up to 4 volts output • Optimized for 1310 - 1500 nm source • Complete electrical isolation • Single mode fiber source delivery Applications • Remote optically powered sensors using installed fiber • Uses low cost and efficient 1300 or 1550 nm laser diode source • Remote antenna lightning isolation • Remote electrical power conversion via installed fiber network The PPC-9LW is a novel photovoltaic power converter optimized for maximum efficiency at 1300 – 1550 nm illumination.
Source optical energy is delivered over single mode fiber to drive electronics over long distances.
Reliable and low cost laser diodes are readily available as sources.
