These microcontrollers are appropriate for a wide range of applications, from applications that require only a limited number of circuits and controls and were previously implemented in standard logic to larger application such as audio equipment, including tape decks and disc players, office equipment, communication equipment, automotive equipment, and home appliances.
Furthermore, since these products have equivalent basic functions (although there are differences in some functions and characteristics) and are pin compatible with the earlier LC6543N/F/L and LC6546N/F/L products, they can be used to replace those devices.
